WATERGUARD – GC (Germs Check) Germicidal cleaning for Periodical pond hygiene management

A liquid formulation contains cationic quaternary ammonium compounds which can disrupt cell membranes and are most active against gram negative bacteria. The active ingredients of this formula and their reaction products or their degradation products are not bio-accumulative or pose any threat to the environment. Available formula: F1

Outdoor culture ponds are susceptible to various pathogens like bacteria, virus and protozoal parasites. Close monitoring for these pathogenic infection is practically impossible by diagnostic tests as there is a change in pattern of microbial load every day. Their effect can be visualized only by identifying affected animals after huge number of animals undergo diseased state. Hence, periodical application of germicidal agents become essential.

The choice of germicidal agents is very important in prawn / shrimp culture because culture ponds are to be maintained with some amount of plankton load for better yield and bio-shielding effect for disease resistance. As our formulation is biodegradable it suits well. It is nonpoisonous and ecofriendly.  

Directions for use: Add 10 liters of water to 1 liter of WATERGUARD - GC liquid mix well spill over water surface once in a week or else when required. Dose 3 - 6L / Hectare. Do not use along with probiotics. It can also be used when water clarity is poor due to microbial decay, low BOD and elevated ammonia level situations with expert opinion.

Discontinue this use at least a week before harvesting to avoid traces and to ensure safety of human consumable food items. It is highly concentrated therefore contact with sensitive organs may cause serious injuries. In case of accident wash with plenty of running water and seek medical advice immediately. External application only.
